276  Course Curricula

This section to be revised

Using this material for the basis of a university level course, I want to emphasize the importance of distinguishing features.

For shorter courses, or those with less experienced participants, the technical can be restricted to markdown, without the inclusion of additional languages, but should include parameterization & visual identity.

  • Major assignments -> mid-term & full-term (or completion)
  • Participation in seminar discussions and/or completion of seminar assigments

276.3 Major Assignments

For the full-term assignment or exam, course participants can be tasked with creating a reproducible report template for a specific communication workflow in a specific work area. e.g.

  1. Create a template that allows research scientists to specify the design and catalog the design of a web bench experiment. The template should include proper formatting and layout, consistent and appropriate visual identity, adequate instructions for use, ability to reasonably integrate into a specified actual or imaginary workflow, methods for collecting feedback on the process, storage, retrieval, etc.
