Compassion

Compassion also has the decided advantage that we can be compassionate toward other individuals, but we can also have self-compassion. For example, in the best, always mental model, we accept that whatever we experienced from others was the best that could have offered at the time. Acknowledging this means we also acknowledge that in ourselves, and that opens a way to self-forgivness and self-understanding. Instead of beating ourselves up over poor performances we can accept what has happened and move on from there.
