• Begin by understanding the purpose of your talk – convince yourself that your audience wants to hear what you’re about to tell them.
• Focus on body language the communicates confidence, not timidness.
• Shift your perception – excited and terrified are mental opposites that can manifest themselves in similar physical sensations.

Stage-freight is a very real physical response to the fear of public speaking. On the first day of the workshop, we discussed several ways of dealing with it, both physical and mental. Here is a summary and some practical tips for when you have to present.
