When receiving “bad” feedback, it is my experience, and I admit to doing it myself, a tendency to deflect, avoidance.

  1. Blaming someone else
  2. The person who assigned the task
  3. The person who trained you
  4. The person (or company) who created the tool you’re using
  5. Denying there is a problem
  6. Refuting or downplaying problems
  7. Focusing on the successes
  8. Blaming something else
  9. The tool which you’re using
